The flagship event of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series is back in 2025.
Held in the French department of Haute-Savoie, an emblematic region of the Alps with the unmissable Mont Blanc as its summit and a gateway to Switzerland and Italy, the mountain bike competition will combine two weekends of racing between August 21-31.
The 2023 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series at Portes du Soleil and those of Combloux-Megève and Les Gets in 2024 were a real success, bringing together thousands of people at each edition. And it’s guaranteed that 2025 will be just as successful – the region hosting the UCI Cross-country and Downhill World Cups and the final round of the UCI Enduro World Cup season.
What’s more, with the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships in Haute-Savoie just two years away, the 2025 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series is a great way to see what the Haute-Savoie Department has in store for the second-ever combined UCI World Championships.
More information about the region’s 2025 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series venues will be revealed soon.
Last year, the Cross-country and Downhill athletes took to the lines of Les Gets, while Enduro riders got to enjoy the trails of Combloux. UCI Cross-country Olympic World Champion Alan Hatherly (Cannondale Factory Racing) did the XCC-XCO double, while Alessandra Keller (Thömus Maxon) and Puck Pieterse (Alpecin-Deceuninck) shared the spoils across the Short Track and Olympic distances.
In the Gravity formats, Richie Rude (Yeti/Fox Factory Racing) and Morgane Charre (Pivot Factory Racing) dominated the Enduro, while in the Downhill, Amaury Pierron (Commencal/Muc-Off by Riding Addiction) made it back-to-back wins in the 2024 WHOOP Mountain Bike World Series and Eleonora Farina (MS Intense) clinched her first UCI Downhill World Cup win.
