Saalfelden Leogang in Salzburgerland, Austria is home to some of the most famous slopes in mountain bike racing. Host of numerous UCI World Cups and UCI World Championships, the bike park has produced some of the most memorable action in the sport’s history since it started with the UCI Downhill World Cup in 2010.

The range forms part of the Southern Limestone Alps, which are themselves part of the Eastern Alps. Situated a stone’s throw from the picturesque town of Zell am See, its closest big city is Salzburg, which is 70km away to the north.
What are the courses like?
Each of the courses on offer in Saalfelden Leogang – Salzburgerland pit the riders against some classic Austrian alpine terrain. All feature extremely technical sections across a mixture of natural and man-made features as riders tackle root-filled forests and open, rocky, exposed mountainside.

Richie Rude (Yeti/Fox Factory Racing) and Isabeau Courdurier secured their second wins of the season in Enduro, while Loïc Bruni (Specialized Gravity) and Vali Höll (YT Mob) bounced back from disappointment in Bielsko-Biała (Poland) to clinch vital victories in their defenses of the UCI Downhill World Cup overall title.
