Highlights: UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup season

The 2023 UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup season kicked off in the Czech Republic in Nové Město na Moravě, before heading to the Italian Riviera, Finale Outdoor Region. The UCI Mountain Bike World Series Festival Haute-Savoie was up next before the series crossed the pond to Snowshoe WV, for the final round.

It was an action-packed debut for perhaps the toughest UCI Mountain Bike World Series format. Lelja Njemčević (Alle Bike) took Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first ever UCI World Cup win and eventual title whilst the Italian, Fabien Rabensteiner (Willier-Pirelli Factory Team), clinched a hard-fought elite men’s title.

The UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup returns for 2024 and features the following stops:

• Nové Město na Moravě, Czech Republic: May 24-26

• Haute-Savoie, France: June 29-July 7

• Lake Placid, USA: September 27-29
